How does it work?

Our PNG compressor converts 32-bit truecolor PNGs with alpha channel to palette PNG (8-bit indexed color image). This stripping of colors by combining similar colors, while lossy, is often not noticeable to the human eye [1]. We also strip image metadata to further reduce PNG file size. Additionally, you can also resize your PNGs to further reduce their file size [2].
