Best Options

Fine-tune your HTML to PDF conversion by using our “Advanced Options”. You can choose the page size, margins, orientation, and much more. See below.

Our default options do a great job of converting your HTML or webpages to PDF. However, you can use the advanced settings to create your PDF exactly the way you want.

  1. Page Size: You can select a page size such as A4 or choose “Auto” to print your HTML to one long PDF
  2. Page Orientation: Use this option to create a Landscape or Portrait PDF
  3. Margin: Add a margin (in pixels)
  4. Viewport width (px): Use this option to specify a browser width when rendering your HTML or Webpage. For example, if you want to convert the mobile or tablet version of a webpage to PDF, enter the desired mobile device’s width here.
  5. Initial delay: Sometimes you want to wait a couple of seconds for the page to fully load before capturing it to a PDF. We use a default value of 3 seconds.
  6. Hide Cookies: Use AI to hide annoying cookie notices automatically!
  7. Use Print Stylesheet: If enabled, we will use the print CSS defined in the page’s stylesheet. So that you can “print” HTML to PDF exactly the way it is supposed to.

The Portable Document Format (PDF) is a universal file format that comprises characteristics of both text documents and graphic images which makes it one of the most commonly used file types today. The reason PDF is so widely popular is that it can preserve original document formatting. PDF files always look identical on any device or operating system.

How to open a PDF file?

Most people head right to Adobe Acrobat Reader when they need to open a PDF. Adobe created the PDF standard and its program is certainly the most popular free PDF reader out there. It's completely fine to use, but I find it to be a somewhat bloated program with lots of features that you may never need or want to use.

Most web browsers, like both Chrome and Firefox, can open PDFs themselves. You may or may not need an add-on or extension to do it, but it's pretty handy to have one open automatically when you click a PDF link online. I highly recommend SumatraPDF or MuPDF if you're after something a bit more. Both are free.
