Compressed Enhanced Metafile (EMZ) is an Enhanced Metafile (EMF) compressed with gzip. EMF is the 32-bit successor to WMF and stores images as a list of vector drawing instructions, so an EMZ graphic can be resized without losing sharpness. Microsoft Office creates EMZ files when clip art, SmartArt, or pasted vector graphics are saved inside a document.
EMZ opens most reliably inside Microsoft Office on Windows — insert it into Word, PowerPoint, or Excel and it renders immediately.
Outside Office, XnView MP, IrfanView, and CorelDRAW can display EMZ. You can also rename the file to .gz, extract it with 7-Zip, and open the resulting EMF in Inkscape or LibreOffice Draw. For a one-click result, use our EMZ to PNG converter.

OpenDocument Drawing (ODD) is a graphics document from the OpenDocument family, the open standard used by LibreOffice and Apache OpenOffice. The file is a ZIP package containing XML that describes shapes, lines, text boxes, and any embedded bitmaps, so the artwork stays editable and scales without losing quality. Note that the standard extension for OpenDocument drawings is .odg, and .odd files are usually the same kind of drawing document.
The natural application is LibreOffice Draw, which reads the whole OpenDocument family. Apache OpenOffice Draw works equally well.
If the file will not load, try renaming it to .odg first — that is the extension LibreOffice expects for a drawing. Other options include Inkscape, which imports OpenDocument drawings, and Google Drive, which can preview many OpenDocument files in the browser. To share the drawing with someone who has no office suite, convert it to PDF or PNG. You can also convert the file with our ODD to PDF tool.
