Convert M4B to WEBM online, for free.
MPEG-4 Audio Layer (M4B) is the file format that stores audiobooks and podcasts, primarily those that are available on iTunes. The cool thing about this file format is that, unlike MPEG-Audio Layer III (MP3), M4B can store digital bookmarks. This feature allows readers to pause and resume later, just like a physical bookmark in a printed book!
The default program for opening M4B files is iTunes. For cross-platform access, VLC media player is a very dependable option that works on Mac OS X and mobile.
On Windows, several options are available. They include Windows Media Player, MediaMonkey, Winamp, and Helium Music Manager.

WebM (WEBM) is a freely-licensed file container designed for the Web. Specifically, it was designed to be compatible with HTML5, originally. It supports chapters, captions, subtitles, metadata tags, streaming, attachments, 3D codecs, 3D containers, and hardware players. WEBM compresses video streams with VP8 or VP9 codecs, and audio with Vorbis or Opus codecs.
VLC media player and MPlayer can open WEBM files on any operating system (OS). Other good choices for opening WEBM include Winamp for Microsoft Windows OS, and Elmedia for Mac OS X.
Microsoft browsers do not have built-in WebM codecs. Therefore, install the codecs separately. However, most browsers support WEBM files.
