MIDI-Sequention Music (RMI) is a Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) file format that exists within a Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) container. Within the container, the role of the RMI file is to provide instructions and store comments. Also, an RMI file does not contain audio data. One of the nice features of RMI is that it can contain a Downloadable Sounds (DLS) file.

It is part of the Ogg family of formats and codecs, which the non-profit Xiph.Org Foundation developed to compete with patented codecs.
