MIDI-Sequention Music (RMI) is a Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) file format that exists within a Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) container. Within the container, the role of the RMI file is to provide instructions and store comments. Also, an RMI file does not contain audio data. One of the nice features of RMI is that it can contain a Downloadable Sounds (DLS) file.
The ideal program for opening an RMI file is Awave Studio. This is a very versatile tool for opening RMI, as well as other audio file formats.
Across platforms, VLC media player is another surefire tool for opening RMI files. Additionally, on Windows, other good choices are vanBasco’s Karaoke Player, Windows Media Player, and Noteworthy Player.
