Keep original size
Choose how to set the output size: keep the original dimensions, enter a width or height while keeping the aspect ratio, or customize both dimensions.
Lossy Compression
Choose how much to compress the PNG. "Lossy" gives the smallest files at the cost of image quality; "Auto" picks a level for you.
Lower values give better compression (at the cost of image quality)
Makes the color you pick transparent in the PNG output. Use the color picker or enter a hex value (e.g. #FFFFFF).
Sets the pixels per inch (0-1000) used when converting to a raster image. Higher DPI gives a sharper result but a larger file. 72-150 is fine for on-screen use, and 300 is the usual choice for printing.

Sets how opaque the background is, from 0 (fully transparent) to 1 (fully opaque).

Skencil Drawing (SK) is the native document format of Skencil, a vector graphics editor for Unix and Linux that was originally released under the name Sketch. An SK file stores drawings as text-based descriptions of curves, shapes, gradients, and text objects, so the artwork remains fully scalable and editable. The project is no longer actively developed and was succeeded by sK1, which uses the .sk1 extension.

 

How to open an SK file?

Because SK is application-specific, the usual route for anyone without Skencil or sK1 is to convert the drawing to a widely supported vector format such as SVG, PDF, or EPS. UniConvertor, the sK1 Project’s command-line converter, performs that step.

 

Once converted, the drawing opens in Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator, or LibreOffice Draw. The sK1 illustration program also imports legacy SK documents directly. Be aware that .sk is reused by unrelated software, so a file that will not open may not be a Skencil drawing at all.

Portable Network Graphics (PNG) is a raster-based file type that compresses images for portability. PNG images can have RGB or RGBA colors and support transparency, which makes them perfect for use in icons, or graphic designs. PNG also supports animations with better transparency (try our GIF to APNG). The benefits of using PNG are Plus, PNG is an open format that uses lossless compression. 

How to open a PNG file?

Generally, PNG files will open in your operating system’s default image viewer. PNG files are also easily viewable on all web browsers. If you are having trouble opening PNG files, use our PNG to JPG, PNG to WebP, or PNG to BMP converters.


Alternative programs such as GIMP or Adobe Photoshop are useful for opening and editing PNG files. PNG files are a bit larger than other file types, so exercise caution when adding them to a web page. One interesting feature of PNG files is the ability to create transparency in the image, particularly a transparent background.
